
The city of Bikaner is surrounded by
imposing stone walls and was once an important staging post on the
great caravan trade routes. It has a superb large fort,
distinguished by its' long range of 37 bastions and two entrances.
The streets of the old city conceal a number of old havelis and a
few notable Jain temples.
Bikaner is connected to
Jaipur and Jodhpur by broad gauge railway lines. Bikaner is
connected to Delhi by a direct train which leaves twice a day. By
bus, Bikaner is connected to Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Agra, Ajmer and
Delhi.

The fort of Jaisalmer is
unique for its' splendour, and magic. This magic, incomparably
romantic and unspoiled city has been dubbed the "Golden City'
because of the colour imparted to its' stone ramparts by the setting
sun.

Jodhpur is located at the
edge of the Thar desert and is the second largest city after Jaipur,
in Rajasthan. It is totally dominated by a massive fort atop a rocky
hill. The old city is enclosed by a 10 km long wall, built a century
after the city was founded. The Mehrangarh fort is the most
formidable and impressive in the fort studded Rajasthan.
There are flights to and
from Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Udaipur. The Rajasthan State run
buses connect Jodhpur to other places of interest in Rajasthan. By
train, there are super fast expresses to Delhi and Ahmedabad. To
Udaipur there are the day and night train which take approximately
11 hours to cover the distance.

The most romantic city of
Rajasthan, Udaipur is called the 'Venice of the East'. Udaipur is
full of palaces, temples and havelis ranging from the modest to the
extravagant depicting the city's' superbly crafted elegance. There
are plenty of parks and gardens which line the lake
shores.
Udaipur has direct
flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Aurangabad, and Jodhpur.
Frequent Rajasthan State run buses run to other regional centers as
well as to Delhi and Ahmedabad. The
best train between Delhi and Udaipur is the Pink City express which
covers the 740 kms distance in 16
hours.
