The Kathmandu valley consists of three main cities of
great cultural and historic interest - Kathmandu, Lalitpur,
and Bhaktapur. Situated at an altitude of 1336 m above sea
level, Kathmandu valley covers an area of 218 sq.
miles.
Places to see in
Kathmandu are the numerous temples, the seat of royalty called
the Hanumandhoka and Swayambhunath, one of worlds' most
glorious Budhist Chaitya's.
The Pokhara Valley
- one of the most picturesque spots of Nepal, is enhanced by
it's lovely lakes Phewa, Begnas, and Rupa. Pokhra offers
magnificent views of Dhaualgiri, Manaslu, Macchapuchhre and
Pokhra's numerous lakes offer boating, fishing and
swimming. |
